Burning Permits and By-Law

As of January 1, 2016 North Bay's Open Burning By-Law has changed to allow open burning in all areas of the municipality, assuming you meet the requirements specified in the links below.  

Permits may be obtained from Customer Service at City Hall, Monday through Friday from 8:30 - 4:30. 

New Non-Recreational, Agricultural and Grandfathered permits are obtained at Fire Station 1 at 119 Princess St. West, Monday through Friday from 8:30 - 4:30 (closed for lunch from 12 - 1). 

Renters require annual written permission from the owners to obtain a permit.  Permission wording

Burning Application  The application can be started online but is not valid until the physical copy is issued by: City Hall for Recreational and renewed non-recreational, or Station 1 for new non-recreational and agricultural.
